The company PROT.IT S.r.l. is part of I.DA.PRO. S.r.l. which had as sectors of interest the transformation of animal by-products (SOA) according to EC regulation 1069/2009, consisting mainly in the transformation of Category 3 and Category 1 SOA, Category 3 blood from slaughter and the production of fertilizers from meat meals, the regeneration of vegetable and animal used cooking oils, the use of animal fats for the production of electricity from renewable sources with a generator coupled to an endothermic engine.

Today, the PROT.IT S.r.l. services:

• The collection and transformation of multispecies Category 3 SOA with the production of rendered fats and multispecies animal protein as meat meals;
• The collection and transformation of single-species Category 3 SOA with the production of rendered fats and single-species protein as meat meals;
• The collection of any other type of animal by-product;
• The collection and regeneration of used cooking oils;;
• Industrial storage of vegetable oils and animal fats for combustion and bioliquid use.

1970
The group was born with founding members: the CAVALIERE Brothers. They themselves gave the company its name, aiming to collect and trade animal by-products.

1980

IThe group expands its range of action not only in Puglia but also in parts of the neighboring regions. In the same period start the transformation of animal by-products and the regeneration of used oils of animal and vegetable origin, buiding a processing plant in Francavilla F.na (BR).

1990

AHe acquired another plant located in Trani (BA), of which the group had been a partner and which he consequently knew very well.

2002

NI.DA.PRO. S.r.l. was built, which will handle the transformation of the entire range of category 1,2 and 3 animal by-products, including blood, waste vegetable oils, with the production of zootechnical fats, meat meals for pet food and organic fertilizers.

2015
A Following a corporate reorganization part of I.DA.PRO. S.r.l. merged into PTOT.IT S.r.l. newly established and will deal mainly with the transformation of S.O.A. of Category 3 with the production of raw materials for feed consisting mainly of zootechnical fats and meat meals for pet food.

2018

Following a growing demand for mono protein meals, a new transformation line is built for the treatment of Category 3 SOA from individual animal species with meat meal intended for the production of pet food.
